IPL 2020

Probable RCB Playing XI for IPL 2020

This article puts out the possible and strongest starting eleven of RCB for this IPL 2020, UAE edition.

You can read the starting XI for other teams, here in this section.

1. Devdutt Padikkal

The exciting manner in which Devdutt Padikkal performed in the previous domestic season makes his name more sensational in RCB. The Kerala born Karnataka batter has all the sound abilities to ignite the powerplay overs and even to continue till the end. It is an excellent opportunity for the youngster to prove to the Indian skipper who will travel so close with him for the next two months. If it goes well, Padikkal will be in a different space soon.

2. Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch is the one who could find the rope effortlessly with his dasher-type batting. First up, he is a frothing element. Also, the hulky Aussie opener is a great run accumulator with his exceptional stroke-making standard. Good player of spin and at the same time facing fast bowlers in the traditionally sluggish wickets of UAE would be a cake-walk for this Aussie batter. Therefore his form is crucial for the red team to out-think the competition of champs.

3. Virat Kohli

The skipper of the bold red team is a synergy of mass and class. Virat Kohli can do wonders down in the middle, especially in the slot he usually walks in. He loves pressure, and that is what the one drop position gives him often. So, apart from having him as the skipper, RCB is having the world’s best No.3 of this format, and in return, RCB has done justice by providing a good bowling line-up for this UAE edition.

4. Ab de Villiers

Being a No. 4, Ab De Villiers has put his team in the box seat to haul in targets most of the time. According to this data, the 360-degree batter has been the most impactful player of IPL with the bat, and he is proving it for every seven games of IPL. This time, the wicket-keeper role will fetch him a clear picture of the featherbed tracks, making us witness even more consistency from him with the bat.

5. Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali is now consigned with the responsibility of RCB’s engine room. The aggressive left-handed batter, along with his quicker off-spins, adds more weightage to the bench. Especially his nature of snagging key scalps of opponents might give Virat a booster. Meanwhile, in batting, groomed shot-making and approach makes the English team vice-captain even more special for RCB.

6. Shivam Dube

The Indian all-rounder has a massive job of finisher role for the team in red. Batting wise, he is a hard hitter who is only struggling to pick the length and line fluently at the international level. But the term all-rounder gives him more value; that’s what makes Virat turn his head towards Dube. Therefore, to make it worthy, Dube needs to improve his bowling speed to beat the batters.

7. Chris Morris

RCB needs constant churn from the tall Proteas all-rounder. His hacking potentiality during the penultimate overs with the bat might take RCB to amass the grander totals. Nothing can be much better for the red team in bowling if hulky Morris gets on a roll and gets all the four overs.

8. Washington Sundar
