Top 10: Highest Indian Test Totals in a Lost Test Match

Test matches are won by the bowlers taking 20 wickets for their team is a proven fact but at the same time, their batters need to put a competitive score on board for a fight. In many cases, a total over 400 by a team at least saves them from a defeat and yields them a draw, if not a win. However, there are occasions, when a team falters and loses the game even after scoring a comfortable amount of runs in one or both their innings. This could be down to the fact that their opposition was more dominant.

So from a Team India standpoint, here are the occasions where they lost the Test match even though they had posted a sizeable total on the board. Here is India’s highest Test Total on a Losing Cause.
