Key Insights
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) shattered many records in IPL 2024. One of them was the most sixes by a team in a season. They lit up the tournament with 178 maximums in 16 matches.
In the process, SRH also became the first team to hit 150-plus sixes in an IPL edition. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) followed soon with 156 maximums.
While RCB were second to 150 sixes, they were the first to 100. Back in 2012, the Bengaluru-based side struck 117 sixes to go past Deccan Chargers’ tally of 99 in 2009.
