Joe Root – Test & ODI Centuries List

Joe Root is easily the best longer-format batsman the team England has produced post-Alastair Cook.

Interestingly, Root is only second to Cook in of centuries hit for England in Test cricket, becoming only the second English batsman to score 10000+ runs and 30+ centuries in the format.

Even in One-day Internationals, Root has stomped his presence in the early years. However, the former captain finds it hard to fix his spot in the new-looking England side in the limited-overs setup, which relies more on players with the aggressive tag. His last ODI century came during the 2019 ODI world cup.

With a high score of 90* in the 32 T20 Internationals, Root has no triple-digit score in the shortest format, thereby hasn’t break in to the elite list of batters scoring centuries in all three formats.

This article lists Joe Root’s centuries in ODI and Test cricket.
