Key Insights

15: The number of batters to have scored a century in the IPL before turning 24. The other three are: Priyansh Arya (103 for PBKS vs CSK, 23 years and 202 days), Shubman Gill (101 for GT vs SRH, 23 years and 249 days), Ajinkya Rahane (103* for RR vs RCB, 23 years and 314 days), David Miller (101* for PK vs RCB, 23 years and 330 days), and Cameron Green (100* for MI vs SRH, 23 years and 352 days).

Among them, Vaibhav Suryavanshi remains the youngest to hammer an IPL ton. He was 14 years and 32 days old when he brought up 101 runs for RR against GT in a 2025 game. In the process, Suryavanshi also logged the quickest century (35 balls) by an Indian batter in the league’s history.

Shubman Gill has scored a century before turning 24 three times, the only batter to have more than one IPL century before that age. The Gujarat Titans skipper made all three tons 11 days apart from each other.

129: One of Gill’s scores during those tons was 129 against the Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad in the 2023 season, and this remains the highest score by a batter before crossing the 24-year mark.
